An Evening Among the Vines: Private Dinner in a Traditional Mallorcan Winery.
In Mallorca, the best memories are made slowly—with a glass of wine in hand, the sun setting over the vines, and the flavors of the land telling their story on every plate.
Recently, at Black Sheep Events, we had the pleasure of organizing a very special evening for a group of Canadian guests visiting the island. Their goal was simple: to experience the real Mallorca—authentic, elegant, and rooted in tradition. The result was a private dinner set in a local winery that delivered all of that and more.
A Warm Welcome with Wine & Local Flavors
Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with a glass of local wine and a light aperitif in the beautiful courtyard of the winery, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. The golden hour light cast a magical glow over the setting, creating the perfect start to the evening.
A Journey Through Local Wines
The experience continued with a guided wine presentation by the winery’s own oenologist. Passionate and knowledgeable, he introduced the group to the native grape varieties of Mallorca—like Manto Negro and Callet—and explained the unique terroir that shapes each wine’s character.
Tasting the wines while learning their stories added depth and meaning to the experience, allowing the guests to connect with the land in a truly immersive way.
Winery Tour: Behind the Scenes
After the tasting, guests were invited on a guided tour through the winery—walking past barrels, fermentation tanks, and stone walls full of history. It was a rare glimpse into the craft behind the wines they had just enjoyed.
Dinner Under the Stars: Live Paella Cooking
The highlight of the evening was the dinner itself, hosted outdoors under the Mallorcan sky. Guests watched as chefs prepared traditional paellas live, filling the air with the aromas of saffron, and slow-cooked seafood and meats.
Each paella was paired with wines from the same winery, creating a perfect fusion of food and wine that celebrated the essence of the island.
Guests also sampled traditional Mallorcan flavors like sobrassada and coca de trampó—classic dishes found in every home across the island.
